ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Michelle.

I'm a Swiss-Turkish filmmaker based in Los Angeles with a strong eye for production design. As a production designer, I have contributed to numerous short films, dressing diverse sets that encapsulate distinct worlds, including a low-income Black household, suicide hotline, Khazak nursery, Indian lower middle class home and a homeless tent on a beach.

My academic background and set experiences equip me with a deep understanding of visual storytelling. I understand the importance of visual details such as composition, color palette, and symbolism. For me, production design serves as a pivotal tool to develop characters, to enrich the story, and to immerse the audience in the narrative.

I approach production design with creativity, resourcefulness, attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to authenticity, ensuring accurate representation. My goal is to create truthful content that captures the human experience through an empathetic lens, reflected in my thoughtful approach to production design.
